WHAT WE CAN OFFER TO YOU

This 12-week paid internship at $18.00 an hour. It is full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. The graphic design intern should expect to work from the Durham Laboratory at least one day per week. Based on this requirement, we are actively prioritizing candidates in the following areas within driving distance of Durham, North Carolina.

As a key member of our Montrose team, you can expect:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative concepts and designs for various marketing assets including branded apparel, merchandise, posters, flysheets, presentations, social graphics, email blasts, and more.
  • Ensure designs align with brand guidelines, target audience preferences, and marketing objectives
  • Prepare artwork files for printing and production, ensuring they meet printing specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for printing and production processes, ensuring timely delivery and quality output.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks on all design assets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Review proofs and prototypes to identify and address any issues or discrepancies before final production.
  • Coordinate the installation and setup of marketing assets such as posters, banners, and signage at various offices.
  • Ensure proper placement and display to maximize visibility and impact.
  • Actively seek feedback from team members and stakeholders to continuously improve design quality and effectiveness.
  • Incorporate feedback into design revisions and iterations to achieve desired outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from a degree program in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Experience in graphic design required
  • Familiarity with marketing concepts and techniques
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong design skills and proficiency in Canva or other design tools
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign & Adobe Illustrator preferred
  • Basic understanding of social media marketing and content creation
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with Asana, HubSpot, and Slack is a plus
