Examples of Work
Assist in coordinating event and incident responses and manage traffic to make the most efficient use of regional transportation facilities. Assist in directing the day to day activities in the District Operations Center (DOC) including scheduling, advance event coordination, operator training and operational and system refinements. Monitor current traffic conditions via roadway sensors, cameras and other field devices fed into the DOC. Review, critique and comment on event responses and recommend changes or improvements to the response rules or the system. Report directly to the DOC Manager and serve as main backup in their absence.

Salary range for this position is $14.56 - $20.58 per hour. Salary may be commensurate with applicant's education and experience, if approved.
Qualifications / Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: One year experience in communications work involving the operation of integrated/automated communication devices (e.g., multi-line phone systems, teletype machines, and message signs) and computer systems and network links, and the use of computer keyboard commands, software, and hardware to log, track, and disseminate information.

PREFERRED: Experience performing routine DOC functions. Six months experience operating IRIS software. Supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Microsoft office, Social Media communication, Multi-line phone use, ability to monitor several CCTV's simultaneously.
