Position: Home Detention Monitor
Location: Avenue J - Fort Worth, TX

Rate of Pay: $18.06 hrly (Hourly rate of $13.52 plus $4.54 p/hr additional Fringe Pay)

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

The Field Verification Technician assists and supports the Employment Specialist(s) and Home Detention Case Manager(s) in clients' job development program within the Policies and Procedures of VOA-TX and the sponsoring agency. The Field Verification Tech is responsible for conducting job site visits and home site visits and assisting in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date case files & reports in accordance with VOA-TX policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Creates file for home detention and other clients and maintains permanent file throughout client's time with VOATX.
  • Performs home site and/or job site verification checks, as required full-time
  • Assists and supports the Employment Specialist in developing and implementing the job development program.
  • Assists with client employment documentation and verification as required by sponsoring agencies.
  • Assists with the timely collection of client fees/wages and maintains appropriate documentation.
  • Assists with accurate program reports and submitting those in a timely manner.
  • Conducts on-site employment visitations for clients as required.
  • Assists with approving job search itineraries for clients on a daily basis.
  • Enters employment schedules and work status in computer system.
  • Completes monthly calls to clients' employers to verify work status.
  • Assists in conducting the Job Readiness class, which supports clients in obtaining and maintaining full-time, permanent employment.
  • Obtains materials from appropriate sources each day and completes filing by the close of business daily.
  • Prepares weekly records of extra duty hours worked by clients and makes records available to Case Managers.
  • Completes reports for storage of clients released from the facility.
  • Completes weekly records of community service restitution and makes records available to Case Managers.
  • Completes monthly review of all case files, and report contractual inadequacies to Case Managers.
  • Assists supervisor with budget control activities, e.g., conserving resources, reducing utilities cost, avoiding waste, reducing overtime, etc.
  • Assists with all clerical duties required by Vocational & Home Detention Departments.
  • Promotes an organizational culture that fosters passion for the mission, cooperation, open and frequent communication, teamwork, and is in alignment with the organizational vision.
  • Attends all required meetings and trainings.
  • Requires regular attendance and punctuality during the scheduled shift to perform the above essential functions.
  • Performs other duties and special assignments as directed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clerical experience in the human services or corrections field preferred
  • Valid Texas Drivers' License, clear MVR, and ability to be insured.
