The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support in all areas within the Human Resources department at our Itasca, IL manufacturing facility, including new hire orientation, HRIS entries, training and development, and recruiting/career fair activities. The HR Coordinator is a hands-on position that plays a critical role in the effectiveness of the HR function.

Ways you will make a difference

  • Serves as the first point of contact to all employees to help troubleshoot and provide guidance
  • Responsible of the onboarding process of employees, scheduling of new candidates for new hire orientation, creating NHO packets, personnel file, badges, locker assignment, uniform setup, etc.
  • Facilitates new hire orientation and verifies all required compliance paperwork is received and completed.
  • Fosters positive employee relations and works to help answer questions from employees.
  • Manages changes to the HRIS systems (Workday, Kronos & ADP).
  • Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains that they are current.
  • Maintains employee personnel files and other departmental files in an organized, secure and confidential manner.
  • Update the Attendance points tracker
  • Manages the site's Engagement calendar of activities and community programs.
  • Assist HR Generalist in weekly payroll and time keeping data for the non-exempt population by ensuring all PTO, missed punches, attendance corrections, and PTO cancellation forms are entered into the HRIS system
  • Leads by example in demonstrating the Company's operating principles.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures, GMP and safety standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support Ferrara business objectives.

Experiences that will support your success

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Previous experience with HR systems (Workday, Kronos, ADP) preferred
  • Bilingual - Spanish/English preferred
