WMR is the Intermountain West's largest scrap metal recycler with recycling facilities located in Colorado, Nevada and Utah. Our processing capabilities include automobile shredders, balers, shears, mobile shearing, torch processing, auto crushers, extensive transportation services, and railcar dismantling. We are recognized as good community citizens who are trustworthy, financially strong and environmentally proactive.ResponsibilitiesField basic questions concerning policies, procedures, benefits, payroll and processes with nonexempt manufacturing / production employees.Actively recruits for manufacturing facilities including sourcing, screening, and interviewing high quality nonexempt candidates and all relevant recruiting/hiring practices.Responds to employee relations issues and performs workplace investigations as directed by the HR Supervisor.Provide administrative support to the human resource team, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.Manage all new hire (onboarding) paperwork and maintenance of employee personnel files ensuring completeness and accuracy. Respond to all unemployment claims and leaves of absence management.Manage and administer drug test process for new hires, random and post-accident testing including bill payment.Manage Safety Program administration including review of eligibility, track, administer and reconcile safety mentor gift cards.Complete termination process to include Ultipro and DJJ transactions, I-9 and personnel file removal and return of company property.Plan, conduct, and track training & development courses, classes, etc. as needed.Performs other HR duties/projects as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, business, or a related field. PHR certification a plus.3+ years generalist background required, with a strong emphasis on Recruitment, Employee Relations, Compensation, etc.Manufacturing / production facility experience strongly preferred, specifically with nonexempt manufacturing/production employees. Union experience a plus.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.Strong organizational/time management skills, attention to detail and focus on accuracy.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).Experience using both HRIS and ATS systems. (Ultipro, Success Factors, Kronos, etc.)Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing.Excellent verbal communication skills; the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from a wide variety of experiences, backgrounds and skill levels.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple projects while providing excellent customer service.Some travel required.Benefits
