Job Description

The candidate will possess the experience or develop the skills to:

• Providing technical leadership in cell culture and cell assays

• Providing technical leadership in various cell-based and biochemical in vitro assays

• Responsible for timely delivery & documentation of assay data in electronic Notebooks

Qualifications

  • Biology experience including, but not limited to, the following: mammalian cell culture techniques, cell passaging and cryopreservation of adherent and suspension cells
  • Transfection of plasmid/viral-based reporter constructs followed by transient and stable cell line generation
  • Execution of non-radioactive cell-based assays including, but not limited to the following: cell proliferation, cytokine secretion, reporter assays, ELISAs, western blots
  • mRNA isolation from cells and tissues
  • Assessment of gene expression and knock down by TaqMan
  • Capable of balancing multiple tasks at once while delivering the highest standard of quality data
  • Familiarity with PMBC isolation is a plus

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Occasional flexibility to work Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday welcome.Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Indianapolis, INare encouraged to apply.
