Information Security Engineer II
Roswell Park Cancer Institute
First Shift (United States of America)
Reviews system designs for security; identifies risks and proposes mitigating controls; tracks risks of systems to organization; develops security requirements and standards; assists in risk assessments/management, security audits, network vulnerability analysis, incident management and risk remediation. Maintains compliance with regulations such as HIPAA, FISMA, PCI, 21 CRF Part 11 and other current or future regulations. Plans and executes small to medium projects within the realm of the position. Mentors junior level team members on existing and new technologies.
Starting salary for this position is $97,826 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Education and Experience
1. Master's degree in Information Security, Information Technology or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in information security or a related field; or
2. Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology or a related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in information security or a related field; or
3. Associate's degree in Information Security, Information Technology or a related field and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience in information security or a related field; or
4. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of eight (8) years of full-time experience in information security or a related field.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
The preferred candidate will have HIPPA experience, experience with Roswell Park applications, relevant IT experience, experience with InfoSec and InfoSec certifications and SDLC familiarity.
