Job Description

SUMMARY: The Innovation Researcher is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and reporting on broader trends in innovative technologies and how these technologies could impact the education industry. The ideal candidate has experience launching, developing, or collaborating on new products with an entrepreneurial mindset. Essential functions may vary from research to reporting on trends in emerging technologies. The Researcher may also assist the Corporate Development team with partnerships and organic and inorganic growth opportunities as well as other projects.

  • Identify and review innovative education and non-education related technologies
  • Synthesize trends, consumer insights, and competitive performance for presentations to c-suite and senior leadership on potential impacts to education and broader markets
  • Create and compile scoping rubrics for innovation initiatives to determine priority and impact
  • Establish a network of internal and external partners to gain cross-functional perspectives on technology initiatives
  • Develop and champion innovation tools, methodologies, and approaches to cultivate ideas and opportunities that drive academic quality, reduce unit costs and increase speed to market
  • Propose strategic investment opportunities (organic and inorganic, partnerships, etc.) related to innovative ideas

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to pitch ideas and make convincing arguments
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Stride's business and mission

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interest in and experience with innovative technologies (artificial intelligence, AR/VR, crypto, additive manufacturing, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Collaborative and trustworthy
  • Ability to pass required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited university

Compensation & Benefits:Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
  • We anticipate this position will pay between $15.15 to $24.22 per hour. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus.
