Instructor of Religious Studies

The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies invites applications for a one-year full-time instructor of Religious Studies to begin in Fall 2024. The successful candidate will be a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher of undergraduates who can offer general education courses. The area of specialization is open and we will consider all areas of specialization, but we will give preference to applicants who can teach "Asian Religions" and "Religions of the World." The teaching load is a 4/4. All applicants must, at a minimum, have completed their comprehensive examinations and achieved "ABD" status. An offer of employment is contingent on a satisfactory pre-employment background check. Review of applications will begin on a rolling basis as of April18, 2024 and will continue until the position is filled.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's in Religious Studies or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD in Religious Studies or related field
