INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING COORDINATOR

PURPOSE: Coordinate International shipments at the Cleveland Corporate DC.

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Work closely with the International Order Account Reps and DC personnel to coordinate all International shipments including air, ocean, UPS and Customer pickups from the receipt of shipping papers at the DC to Post Goods Issue.
  • Check shipping papers for accuracy and communicate errors to International Account Reps when needed.
  • Calculate Verified Gross Mass on all ocean container shipments and create VGM Declarations to include with the final documents to the forwarders.
  • Coordinate Hazmat shipments and create Hazmat Declarations.
  • Orchestrate all daily International activities at the DC as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company's 2025 Strategy.


BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of, or the ability to learn the International shipping process and procedures.
  • Ability to perform extremely detailed work at a high degree of accuracy in a high-volume environment.
  • An uncompromising regard for quality and customer service is imperative.
  • Able to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to accept responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in the use of PC equipment as well as an excellent understanding of the SAP software system as it relates to International Logistics.
  • Excellent attendance and "on-time" record.
