RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Inventory Manager in Woodbridge, VA.Duties Include:
  • Inventory Manager will develop and implement inventory management policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs
  • Oversee the procurement, receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory items, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols and regulations
  • Conduct regular audits and physical inventory counts to reconcile inventory records and identify discrepancies or variances
  • Analyze inventory data and trends to forecast demand, identify surplus or obsolete inventory, and make recommendations for inventory optimization and cost reduction
  • As an Inventory Manager, you will coordinate with internal stakeholders, including departments and program managers, to assess inventory needs and requirements, and ensure timely availability of inventory items to support operations
  • Collaborate with procurement and finance departments to manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and monitor vendor performance
  • Utilize inventory management software and systems to track inventory levels, transactions, and movements, and generate reports for analysis and decision-making


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a government or public sector environment
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, techniques, and best practices
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and systems; Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
