Job Title: Junior Accountant

Reports to: Director of Finance

Department: Finance and Operations

Salary range:$45,000-50,000



Position Overview: We are looking for a Junior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. Preparing financial statements and reporting are a large part of the junior accountant’s day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the Finance department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/relevant field or 2-3 years equivalent experience
  • Understanding of GAAP, IFRS, or other accounting framework
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be highly pro-active, motivated, and diligent.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be proficient in Excel
  • Experience with accounting software and data entry
Job Duties included, but are not limited to:

Finance:
  • Responsible for journal entries and assisting in the month end close
  • Monthly account reconciliations
  • Generating financial statements
  • Maintain, update and manage the employee digital credit card portal
  • Assist AP team with the inputting of vendor invoices
  • Assist in any ad hoc procedures to ensure a timely month-end close and year-end close.
  • Provide support during annual audit, as necessary
  • Assist with special projects and other functions, as necessary
