Summary of the Role
The Laboratory Support Technician is accountable for driving results in a fast-paced environment by assisting the laboratory staff with a wide range of tasks including laboratory housekeeping, glassware washing, equipment setup and stocking supplies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Removes dirty and/or broken glassware from the lab areas.
  • Washes and dries glassware and distributes to appropriate locations in the laboratories.
  • Maintains glass washing areas, keeping them clean and organized.
  • Removes pharmaceutical waste from the laboratories.
  • Performs monthly checks for expired chemicals and reagents and coordinates timely removal of expired materials.
  • Performs daily verification of analytical balance calibrations.
  • Assists analysts with tasks such as gathering materials, labelling glassware, preparing solutions, disposing of solutions, etc.
  • Ensures lab stations are clean, organized and properly stocked with supplies.

Requirements for the role
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting preferred
