Legal Specialist Sr

The Legal Specialist Sr will be responsible supporting the legal area dedicated to support of Provider Solutions business area including commercial, Medicaid and Medicare products.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Drafts contract templates and amendments to provider agreements.
• Reviews and responds to proposed changes to provider agreements, including contract addendums (e.g., value-based programs; product specific requirements) and draft alternative language when needed.
• Participates in contract negotiations and strategizing with business and staff.
• Utilizes contract management software to facilitate tracking of custom provisions and documentation of required approvals.
• Conducts legal research and analysis and recommends appropriate course of action and next steps.
• Responds to questions/issues regarding provider contract language.
• Prepares and assists with regulatory filings or draft responses to comment letters (e.g., network filings or template agreements).
• Assists with provider disputes.
• Assists provider solutions with drafting breach or cease and desist letters.
• Prepares and assists with creating training programs related to support of Provider Solutions.
• Prepares settlement agreements, letters of intent, confidentiality agreements and other documents as requested.
• Assists with legal research related to state requirements or mandates.
• Assists with regulatory governance and compliance issues.
• Assists with project management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires Paralegal Certification or an AA/AS/BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of legal or related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $38.27 to $57.41
