Position Details:
  • Employment Status: Full-Time
  • Compensation: Paid hourly, bi-weekly
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Benefits: Comprehensive insurance package with health, dental, vision, and life coverage, accrued PTO, paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan
Requirements:
  • Degree: Certificate
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA)
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of practical/vocational nursing experience required, with gastroenterology experience within the previous 24 months
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse
  • Additional Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider course or equivalent based on national guideline.
Job Summary:
  • Assist with various endoscopic procedures
  • Prepare and clean endoscopic equipment
  • Educate patients on endoscopic procedures
  • Provide care to variable patient populations
  • Administer medications and perform treatments according to established procedures
  • Recognize and respond to urgent patient care situations
  • Support complex diagnostic tests and specialized procedures
  • Orient peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies and procedures
