Lift Truck Operator I Manufacturing (Night Shift)

Position Overview

Essential Duties:

Perform all daily job assignments, using safe work methods.

Comply with corporate absenteeism and tardiness policy.

Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Work overtime as required.

Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Load customer deliveries using a forklift.

Unload raw materials using a forklift.

Inspect, sign-off, and check out Lift Truck daily.

Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas, throughout the shift.

Transfer inventory from Warehouse to Extrusion Departments.

Ensure proper lag time, per 8S Extrusion Warehouse.

Return yarn to inventory, as needed.

Communicate with on shift supervisor/lead regarding any changes, problems, or concerns.

Operate a Powered Industrial Truck.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand or walk for eight (8) to twelve (12) hours.

Ability to bend, stoop, squat, lift, carry and reach occasionally.

Ability to get on and off a forklift multiple times throughout the shift.

Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds frequently.

Ability to distinguish between colors.

Ability to pass Vision Screening.

Other Requirements:

Must possess good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

Must have at least 2 years of forklift driving experience.

Must have basic computer skills.

Must be able to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required.

Plant 8S is a tobacco-free facility.

12 hour night shift (4 nights on, 4 nights off)

Work Shift

12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, shift starts PM, days change only
