JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description:
- Associate loads painted and sealed steel drums onto 45', 48' and 53' trailers placed at the loading dock doors.
- There are 2 sets of loaders, and they alternate trailers.
- The associate will lift @55lb steel drums from a conveyor at waist height to place on the trailer floor behind them at 1 level, 2 levels or 3 levels high while moving the conveyor by button back out the trailer as they load each row of 4, 8 or 12 drums.
- They load approximately 1 trailer per hour with another partner.
- They may load 56, 112, or 168 drums when they load every other trailer.
- Associate could handle @800 drums per shift.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training.
- Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions in English.
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Ability to be on feet for up to 8-12 hours per shift.
- Use of hands and fingers to perform job function.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb.
- Ability to lift up to 55lbs.
- Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination.
- Able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment - cold in winter months and hot in the summer months.
