Description of Work:

Management of the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Residential Mixed Use (RMU) closing department

General Statement of Duties:

  • Management of closing staff
  • Approve daily funding's for all loan closings
  • Weekly loan pipeline review and governance
  • Liaison with Bank Closing Attorneys, Loan Origination Officers, Loan Administrators, Loan Underwriters and Senior Management
  • Enforce quality control functions
  • Responsible to maintain and update Loan Closing procedures
  • Provide customer service as needed

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with loan administration and underwriting to in preparation for closing and loan servicing
  • Overall review of loan files prior to closing including fees, closing instructions and disclosures.
  • Approve daily funding's for all loan closings
  • Work with Bank closing attorney's on coordinating closing expectations
  • Provide independent review of loan disclosures on RESPA loans to ensure accuracy and in compliance with federal regulations
  • Review of loan files prepared for closing including accuracy of fees, escrows and attorney instruction
  • Provide second review of loans being denied/withdrawn
  • Evaluate the team strength, weakness and motivations.
  • Develop and maintain a score card for closing attorney's

Minimum Qualifications:

  • College Degree or equivalent experience
  • In-Depth Knowledge of regulatory issues concerning real estate lending and loan products
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience of loan pipeline management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to effectively manage loans in process by utilizing the bank's loan origination system
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other business units for proper execution in information gathering, regulatory reports and operational performance
  • Ability to perform in a highly charged, high demand environment
  • Strong leadership quality is required
