Shriver Job Corps seeks a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN at Shriver Job Corps, you will be crucial in providing high-quality healthcare services to our students and contributing to their overall well-being. Responsibilities:

  • Healthcare Delivery:
    • Provide comprehensive nursing care to students, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of their healthcare needs.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the overall health and safety of students.
  • Health Records Management:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for each student.
    • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Emergency Response:
    • Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate emergency responses.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with the healthcare team, including physicians, registered nurses, and other support staff.
    • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and external healthcare providers.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of healthcare services.
    • Implement evidence-based practices to improve health outcomes.

Qualifications

  • LPN Certification from an accredited program and a valid, active, unrestricted in-state license to practice as an LPN required.
  • A minimum of one year of health care experience preferred.
  • Regional Approval required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience working in a school or youth-focused healthcare setting is a plus.
