The College of Business at Florida Atlantic University seeks to fill two tenure-track faculty lines at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. These faculty members will support the work of the newly established Madden Center for Value Creation. These faculty will each be affiliated with the most appropriate department in the College of Business, depending on their qualifications; the departments could include Finance, Information Technology and Operations Management (ITOM), or Management Programs. Employment would start Fall 2022.

Responsibilities: The successful candidates will work in and support the programs of the Madden Center for Value Creation in the College of Business. They will also teach classes in the graduate and undergraduate programs of the College, in the areas of finance, management information systems, operations management, quantitative methods, or management programs. Graduate programs in areas of need include the MBA, MS in Finance, MS in Business Analytics, MS in Information Technology and Management, MS in Supply Chain, MS in International Business or PhD programs. The faculty must maintain an active program of research and publication and they will be expected to participate in appropriate service to the department, college, university, community, and profession. Emphasis will be placed on producing scholarly research in top-tier peer-reviewed business journals. One successful candidate will serve as Director of Research for the new Madden Center. The other successful candidate will serve as Director of Policy for the new Madden Center.

Minimum Qualifications:Qualified candidates are required to have earned a doctorate degree in Finance, Management Information Systems, Management, or an appropriate equivalent degree from an AACSB-accredited university by the effective date of employment.

Candidates must be strongly committed to quality scholarly research.

Applicants must have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching at an AACSB-accredited university.

To be hired at as an Associate Professor or Professor, candidates must additionally possess a publication record sufficient for promotion and tenure at a higher-research activity doctoral-granting university.

Demonstrates skill in understanding of cultural differences.

Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Demonstrate and support a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualification: The ideal candidate also will have:

A demonstrated record of acceptances or publications in peer-reviewed academic journals.

Experience and interest in research and/or teaching in corporate governance, entrepreneurship, finance, international business, management information systems, strategy, and/or value creation. However, all areas of teaching and research focus that both support the work of the Madden Center and meet the needs of the College of Business will be considered.
