Position Overview:

As the Electrical Maintenance Team Leader, you will oversee the execution of electrical work, assuring quality workmanship of E&I field activities through contract E&I support. You will assist in troubleshooting equipment problems and make recommendations on needed repairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Set and enforce expectations for safe execution of electrical work
  • Lead, attend, and participate in safety meetings and site inspections. Perform safety contacts and near miss reports
  • Investigate and correct safety and environmental issues
  • Review daily Production Shift reports
  • Verify quality repairs are made and documentation is maintained
  • Review, improve, and help develop maintenance procedures
  • Provide oversight to contract E&I support to improve effectiveness
  • Execute Work Orders according to plan, schedule, and priority
  • Manage and update daily work schedule to ensure maximum productivity

Education, Experience and Skills Required:
  • 5+ years of experience working in the electrical discipline
  • Electrical Texas State License
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Working knowledge of refinery/chemical process and equipment maintenance
  • Knowledge of skill competencies associated with electrical disciplines including DOT and NFPA 70E
  • Leadership capability
  • Effective mentoring and coaching skills

Education, Experience and Skills Preferred:
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • SAP, MSDS data base, and Primavera knowledge

Physical Requirements:
  • Physical ability to work around and on industrial equipment, including frequent climbing of stairs and ladders
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, heeled boots, and hearing protection)

Other Requirements:
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the requirement of a work visa
  • Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card
  • Must support and comply with the company's drug free work environment, which will include random drug screenings
  • Must support and comply with the company's harassment free workplace environment policy
  • Must support and comply with the company's safety policies and initiatives
  • Must support and comply with the company's diversity and inclusion work environment policies
