Better Future Farms, Inc. (BFF) is a leading greenhouse company in the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) industry. We are dedicated to sustainable and innovative agriculture practices to produce high-quality, locally-grown products all year round. We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team.

In this role, you will perform maintenance and repair tasks on our greenhouse equipment and systems. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with the Senior Maintenance Lead and other maintenance team members to ensure our facility's smooth operation.

Responsibilities

• Conducted routine maintenance and repair tasks on greenhouse equipment, including HVAC, packaging, seeding, and other mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic/hydraulic climate and irrigation systems.
• Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions
• Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Collaborate with the Senior Maintenance Lead and team members to develop and improve maintenance procedures
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC)
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to operate equipment safely
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
• Willing to work from heights of 20-30 feet.
• Willing to work in a clean room environment and follow all food safety protocols.
