Job Description Summary
The Manager Research Project A/B will manage day to day operations for data research projects within the Division of Health Policy. The Manager Research Project A/B will function as the day-to-day manager of the research projects, including: coordinating regulatory approval from the institutional review board, organizing study data collection, overseeing the budgets/grant expenditures/cash flow, managing and tracking subcontracts, coordinating activities of the project data collection teams and the statistical programming team; monitoring progress and timelines, preparing materials for interim reports; coordinating new educational programming and development; and addressing interim problems as they arise.
This position is contingent upon funding.
Job Description
The Manager Research Project A/B will manage day to day operations for data research projects within the Division of Health Policy.
The Manager Research Project A will function as the day-to-day manager of the research projects, including: coordinating regulatory approval from the institutional review board, organizing study data collection, overseeing the budgets/grant expenditures/cash flow, monitoring subcontracts, coordinating activities of the project data collection teams and the statistical programming team; monitoring progress and timelines, preparing materials for interim reports; coordinating new educational programming and development; and addressing interim problems as they arise.
In addition to the above, Manager Research Project B will be directly responsible for preparation and submission of study progress reports and IRB documents. They will be responsible for managing and submitting subcontract documents in coordination with Department Grant Managers, and act as the primary contact, among other tasks.

Qualifications:
Manager Research Project A: Bachelor's Degree with 3 - 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Manager Research Project B: Master's Degree with 3 - 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Manager Research Project A/B: This person should have prior experience in an academic research environment and experience managing projects and budgets. Experience managing staff, student workers or interns in a previous position is also preferred. The successful candidate will be extremely well organized and resourceful. The Manager Research Project A/B must thrive in multi-tasking environments, and be a self-starter with a results orientation. Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint are required. The Manager Research Project A/B will interact with a variety of faculty members, staff, external partners, and students throughout the university, so strong interpersonal communication skills are essential. The Manager Research Project A/B will manage study staff, student workers and work with postdoctoral researchers. High accuracy, dependability, and attention to detail will be vital to success in the position. The Manager Research Project A/B should have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
