JOB DESCRIPTION: The Manufacturing Engineer will be engaged in maintenance and improvement of manufacturing lines for current products including design changes. Manufacturing Engineer will work with the departments of the associated cross functional team (Quality Engineering, Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Control, Maintenance) to meet the requirements of daily production and quality. This position is also responsible for working with staff on analysis and reaction/countermeasures for customer/line and warranty rejects. The team must also provide daily manufacturing support for equipment and or supplier quality issues. The Manufacturing Engineer will strive to achieve accomplishment of organizational objectives as defined by related engineering supervisor.
Major Responsibilities • Works on the maintenance and improvement of the production process for current products and works with production engineering staff as required for improvements to current products.
• Daily support of manufacturing and Quality departments.
• Work with team on analysis of warranty and customer returns.
• Lead design change quoting process for manufacturing engineering and coordination of design changes with Manufacturing Engineer and Production Engineer teams as required.
• Report and ensure project progress.
• Providing/updating all documentation as required (technical standards and documentation).
• Coordinate with Production Engineering, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Manufacturing to ensure workload and availability of resources are available to accomplish schedules.
• Provide progress reports to management and escalate issues.
• Accept responsibility as delegated by supervisor for support of production engineering on horizontal deployment, lessons learned, and advancing improvements on current lines to new product lines.
• Must follow all company requirements regarding Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) 11. 11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Skills required: • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline OR
• An advanced degree and generally six plus years of experience in a related field.
• Certification required in some areas
• Have experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications
• Have strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and possess the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs
• Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters
