About this opportunity:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Support, the Marketing Support Advisor will provide daily support to the U.S. refined products marketing team. The Marketing Advisor will assist with maintain contracts through complete life cycle, reporting on pricing, sales, contract compliance, and maintaining transactions in company systems, while providing customer support, responding to customer requests for assistance and managing customer communications. This position is not responsible for executing transactions with counterparties.

The best suited candidate for this position will have prior experience within the business of refined products marketing or logistics as well as having knowledge of RightAngle and DTN systems.

This position is located at our Dublin, OH office.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for supporting full transaction cycle including system setup, maintenance, reporting, analysis, customer support, and dispute management.
  • Key stakeholders that this role will partner with include other members of the marketing team, trading, logistics, finance and middle office, customers, and external vendors.
  • Support marketing and trading of product from all U.S. refining assets and throughout the U.S. terminal network.
  • Accountable for supporting transaction flow through the company's internal transaction systems (RightAngle) and external systems (DTN), working efficiently to address customer issues, providing support to marketing in evaluating current portfolio performance and new opportunities, interfacing with other internal groups to support credit-to-cash cycle.
  • Exercise discretion in making front line decisions to address customer issues, while escalating disputes for marketer/trader/manager input on resolution.
  • Wide spectrum of problem-solving skills required (e.g., position follows defined practices and processes but also requires more complex problem solving to address customer issues).
Deliverables
  • Responsible for daily reporting on pricing, sales, contract compliance.
  • Setup of customers or carriers with terminals and transaction systems.
  • Daily maintenance of transactions in company systems (e.g., resolving pricing issues, assisting with incomplete transactions, assisting with resolving deal entry issues).
  • Manage daily communications with customers regarding terminal outages and shifts.
  • Respond to incoming customer calls and emails regarding supply issues, invoicing, BOLs, payment disputes, and other issues.
  • Assist in executing customer engagement strategies, including representing the company at industry events and customer meetings.
  • Assist the marketing team in developing sales strategies and presentations.
  • Work with finance and middle office to advance credit-to-cash initiatives.
  • Serve as a front office representative on company-wide projects and initiatives.

  • Strong attention to detail, able to perform tedious tasks with high level of accuracy.
  • Responsible and self-motivated, able to complete work with little daily oversight.
  • Agile with the ability to quickly respond to shifting priorities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to problem solve for internal and external counterparties.
  • Team player able to work well with others to complete common tasks
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
  • A Minimum of 5 years of experience within the business of refined products marketing or logistics
  • Bachelor's degree in general business, communications, or marketing
  • Prior experience with RightAngle, DTN or similar systems.
  • Prior experience in refined products marketing and logistics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft business programs.
  • On call requirement (weekends and evenings)
