Position Summary

This position is responsible for activities related to handling of production materials and warehouse management. Responsible for activities on replenishments, material transactions, and accuracy of inventory levels. Responsible for coordinating with purchasing, planning, and production to monitor the progress of materials throughout the production process.

Principal Responsibilities

• Organize, maintain, and control raw material and semi-finished inventory in the warehouse as per required storage requirements.
• Utilize SAP for all daily activities including but not limited to material movements, inventory review, production order management, kitting, production supply management, shipping functions.
• Review production schedules and daily status of staged orders and confer with Manager, Buyers and Planning regarding material requirements.
• Perform kitting & control functions for production to provide required materials to the production floor/supply locations.
• Perform regular Inventory reviews to maintain SAP accuracy and manage MRO material levels.
• Create and confirm production / prototype orders.
• Print and inspect production / prototype labels.
• Work with operations logistics to ensure smooth flow of production through replenishment of production supply locations.
• Maintain regular communication within team and internal/external departments
• Maintain self and work area to required levels of cleanliness.
• Backup Shipping / Receiving in fulfilling orders when required.
• Picks, packs, and receives orders accurately per shipping / receiving method as required.
• Actions must comply with quality system policies and procedures that include requirements such as GMP's, FDA and other regulatory body regulations.
• Train other associates as required.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Education / Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 5+ years' related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or strong demonstratable equivalency required.
• SAP knowledge highly desired or proven transferable knowledge from similar ERP systems

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be extremely detailed in handling information/data.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft office required
• Intermediate math skills (basic unit conversion)
• Able to work as part of an effective team.
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to work with little supervision.
• Self-motivated, dependable.
• Desire to learn and contribute to continuous improvement
• Able to lift, up to 60 lbs. Also requires pushing/operating a pallet jack or lift equipment.
• This position requires frequent standing and sitting (for computer work)
• Available to work over-time if required
