Reporting to the Manager of Materials, the Materials Assistant II will be responsible for receiving incoming inventory receipts and logging them in the computer system. This position is also responsible for creating spreadsheets and monthly reports, working with purchasing and service on obsolete and reserve parts, maintaining the rejected parts process, and tracking inbound freight as well as processing freight claims.

Major Accountability:

  • Receiving incoming freight and logging data into the computer system.
  • Conducting monthly reporting.
  • Maintaining the obsolete and reserve parts list.
  • Managing and maintaining the rejected parts process.
  • Tracking inbound freight and processing freight claims.
  • Participating in cross-training to cover other positions in the department.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Inputting incoming freight receipts.
  • Working with the reserve and obsolete parts list.
  • Cross-training.
  • Conducting end-of-month reporting.
  • Processing rejected parts.
  • Tracking inbound freight claims and ensuring they are processed.
Specialized Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Able to create spreadsheets, reports, and graphs.
  • Strong ability to accurately count.
  • Familiar with QADEE software is a plus.
  • May be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
