Mechanical Engineer (Experience Level Professional)

MISSION:

Collaborate with all stakeholders to provide technical solutions and support to deliver projects on time in our production facility. Projects include installation of new equipment and/or modification of existing equipment to meet evolving business needs. This position also conducts and/or manages activities including machine discovery, preliminary design, final design, installation, and commissioning/ramp-up support.

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Conduct feasibility studies of functional specifications; evaluate solutions against the criteria of cost, deadlines, risks, and functionality.
  • Conduct integration studies in a collaborative team environment.
  • Manage change requests according to the established processes.
  • Adhere to the quality system and established methods (risk analyses, FMEA, design reviews, quality planning, treatment of non-Conformities, etc.).
  • Obtain validation of milestones during the installation, start-up and ramp-up of the equipment in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Support prototype projects, as needed.
  • Keep "as built" folders up to date.
  • Perform project management activities, including risk analysis, cost forecasting, and management of installation contractors

REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineer, Associate ME degree or equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3-5 years' experience designing equipment, project management.
  • Solid knowledge of Solid works, AutoCAD, Microsoft office, power BI.
  • Good communication skills at every level of the organization.
  • Ability to work in teams.
