Job Description

Maintain a raw material inventory of thousands of items, with room to develop into lab assayist

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track cell media and other raw materials for the department
  • Maintain inventory by storing and shipping off-site
  • Receive items, store appropriately, and move to various on and off-site locations as needed
  • Prepare media hydrations
  • Develop lab skills to participate in spectroscopy for peptides

Qualifications

Skills
  • Strong communication, logistical, and planning skills
  • Inclination to organizing items to be used by a large, collaborative team
  • Strong ability to coordinate logistics with external shipping and storage companies
  • Ability to work well with others, as you will communicate extensively both internally and with third parties
  • Consistency in taking notes and tracking materials
  • Alignment with vision
    • Eager to improve processes, including continuous improvement and LEAN
    • Eager to take responsibility for lab improvements and team's success. This includes seeing areas for improvement and being bold enough to push them forward
  • Willing to spend time in cold room for 15 minutes at a time
  • Ability to lift buckets of 1-10 kg
  • Basic safety: Chemical safety, PPE use, stepladders
Experience
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry and biology
  • Use of Excel, especially for organizing and searching through large inventories
  • Use of cold rooms, fridges, and freezers
  • Logistical experience in shipping, storage, or material handling
  • (Optional) Shipping or working with shipping carriers

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 9a.m. to 5 p.m., with the ability to flex hours as needed to support manufacturing. Position will support manufacturing operations, therefore weekend and holiday work may be necessary. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Malvern, PA are encouraged to apply.
