(Boston, MA) Physician. Duties: Provide internal medicine care to adult patients; work in BWH's International Patient Center (IPC) in order to support international patients with complex medical conditions; Provide medical care to outpatients and possibly inpatients as part of the overall care team; Provide clinical supervision of team members consisting of Physician Assistant and Medical Assistant, and residents; Diagnose, treat, or provide continuous care to outpatients and hospital inpatients if needed; Prescribe medications or treatment regimens to outpatients and hospital inpatients if needed; Admit patients for hospital stays; As needed, order to interpret test results/lab results; Refer patients to medical specialists, social services, or other professionals as appropriate; and Communicate with patients' specialty care physicians upon admission when treatment plans change to maintain continuity and quality of care; Serve as faculty member and participate in academic activities for the Division of General Internal Medicine, including mentoring of trainees, teaching, seminar series, internal proposal review, and occasional internal symposia, total 50 hours per year; Collaborate and work with other departments at the BWH to provide medical care to patients through the IPC and outside the IPC if needed.
Qualifications
Requirements: MD/DO degree (foreign equivalent accepted), MA medical license, 3 year residency in Internal Medicine, Board Certified in Internal Medicine, 2 years' experience in outpatient primary care, 2 years of teaching experience for residents and medical students. Must have experience working with international patients.
