Kimberly-Clark (K-C) is looking for an ambitious, self-driven and talented individual to join our NA Directs team. You will make a difference by assisting in the development of category strategies and leading local execution activities in support of K-C North America (KCNA) and K-C Professional (KCP) businesses to achieve variable cost productivity, working capital, and business financial goals. You will lead the supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management processes, including managing the entire contract life cycle from request for proposal (RFP) to supplier exit. In addition, you will work closely with the global procurement lead, business units and cross-functional team to achieve strategic sourcing objectives for the commodity.

In this role you will:

• Serve as a change agent for the Procurement organization, with a strong ownership mentality and willingness to challenge the status quo

• People manager for one KCNA Chemical Specialist

• Coordinate with business stakeholders on Chemicals needs and strategy (e.g., collect business requirements), with an ability to work effectively in a global matrix structure

• Assess KCNA/KCP supplier landscape and market dynamics (e.g., emerging suppliers & innovation, supply / market trends, etc.)

• Provide input to global Chemicals category strategy.

• Design and execute KCNA/KCP sourcing events aligned to global Chemicals strategy; provide input to shared sourcing events (coordinated by Global Procurement)

• Manage KCNA/KCP-specific supplier relationships (e.g., escalate and resolve supplier continuity issues)

• Manage, track, and report on KCNA/KCP Chemicals cost / sourcing initiatives & results.

• Identify opportunities and drive initiatives to simplify / standardize ways of working.

• Lead execution of global category strategic initiatives in region

• Ensure compliance with K-C Policies and internal controls.

• Build trust and credibility with suppliers by demonstrating integrity, commitment, and results orientation to drive and deliver results.

• Maintain an effective business relationship with all suppliers and stakeholders based on clear, concise group and personal communication.

The successful candidate will join the KCNA Procurement team and report to the KCNA Procurement Leader, Direct Materials.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in business, supply chain or related discipline, Masters preferred

• 7+ years of experience in Procurement, preferred experience in category managed.

• 5+ years of people management experience

• Experience delivering results in a global matrix organization preferred.

• Intellectually curious, strong project management, process improvement, problem-solving and analytical skills

• Business acumen, excellent communication skills (both written and oral) able to communicate up and across the organization, cross functional collaboration & influencing, functional and technical awareness.

• Ability to work independently in a heavily matrixed organization.

• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

The anticipated pay range for this job has a range of $X-$X in addition to bonus potential.
