Interventional Urology - NeoTract is dedicated to developing innovative, minimally invasive and clinically effective devices that address unmet needs in the field of urology. As part of the Teleflex Interventional Urology business unit, NeoTract's focus is on improving the standard of care for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) using the UroLift® System, a minimally invasive, permanent implant system that treats symptoms while preserving sexual function*1,2.   • Indicated for the treatment of symptoms of an enlarged prostate up to 100cc in men 45 years or older. As with any medical procedure, individual results may vary. Most common side effects are temporary and include pain or burning with urination, blood in the urine, pelvic pain, urgent need to urinate and/or the inability to control the urge.1 Rare side effects, including bleeding and infection, may lead to a serious outcome and may require intervention.     Position Summary

    The National Manager, Reimbursement Access is a highly visible, front line position that reports to the VP, Reimbursement and Healthcare Policy. This position is responsible for providing leadership and compliant direction to the Reimbursement Access Team. This position is expected to interact directly with key Leadership personnel ,internal and external customers for the purpose of providing compliant reimbursement-based education to mitigate reimbursement barriers. This person is expected to possess strong leadership capabilities and ideally have prior experience managing direct reports. The candidate must have an established knowledge of coding, coverage, and payment and be able to apply appropriately as they relate to Interventional Urology Business Unit (IUBU) and competitive products. This position requires the ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    Principal Responsibilities

    Manage Reimbursement Access Team
    • Manage and oversee daily operations, activities and processes for the Reimbursement Access Team.
    • Assist in development and implementation of compliant reimbursement guidelines, processes and tools for the Reimbursement Access Team, and IUBU.
    • Research and analyze data to identify reimbursement educational needs and opportunities for internal and external customers.
    • Support the overall objectives of the reimbursement team.
    • Assist in the development and management of timelines for key department initiatives.
    • Collaborate with the VP, Reimbursement & Health Policy, and other team members, to develop the broader Reimbursement Team's annual goals.
    • Support the development and implementation of IUBU training programs.
    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of coding, coverage, and payment as it relates to the IUBU.
    • Individually and through direct reports and the sales organization, identify trends in internal and external customer reimbursement challenges, and develop proactive solutions through educational opportunities and training, including, but not limited to, new customer onboarding, input into Sales Quarterly Reviews, zone and/or customer specific retraining as needed.
    • Management and oversight of reimbursement access team. Implement methods to support associate and team development.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Customer Support
    • Provide compliant reimbursement education and support for assigned Sales Area, internal and external customers.
    • Facilitate internal and external reimbursement-related communication.
    • Disseminate as appropriate approved reimbursement tools to internal and external customers.
    • Refer complex reimbursement issues to reimbursement leadership.
    • Facilitate physician/customer/patient advocacy for coverage initiatives, as requested.

    Education / Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree preferred, equivalent job experience/education combination will be considered.
    • Previous experience leading teams or leading direct reports preferred
    • Professional coding certification required, either via AAPC or AHIMA or equivalent work experience
    • Minimum of 5+ years medical device reimbursement coding, coverage, and payment experience required.
    • Urology experience a plus.
    • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
    • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurer reimbursement methodology.
    • Strong understanding of private and government reimbursement policy and the evolving reimbursement environment including coverage development.
    • Understanding of healthcare benefits (deductible, out of pocket, benefit exclusions, etc.).

    Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability and desire to successfully interact with all levels of management and healthcare professionals.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively and participate in a team environment.
    • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc. Ability to learn other programs as necessary such as databases.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of time. Overnight travel is required.
