Under general supervision, verifies received or completed materials meet specifications called for in documentation. Uses all group I measuring devices.

This position is 2nd Shift

• Under general supervision, reviews documentation to determine specifications for material or products.
• Checks dimensions; may do functional testing of products as required.
• Works with a broad range of products that pass through a specific area.
• Inspects parts to mechanical drawing, ensuring tolerances are maintained using appropriate inspection tools and following approved inspection criteria.
• Uses all group I measuring devices.
• Performs other tasks as directed by Management

• Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Read and interprets blueprints and measuring devices such as scales, micrometers, calipers, etc. Adds, subtracts, multiplies and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Minimal direct decision-making responsibility. Advises the Department Supervisor, or designee, of special concerns as they arise. Carries out detailed written or oral instructions. Deals with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situation
• Ability to read detailed drawings, prints and specifications.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 4+ years experience and Prior inspection or manufacturing experience preferred.
