TGS, a Koniag government company, is hiring an Application Developer. This is a direct, full-time position with our company, working at our customer's site in Durham, NC.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilize email, instant messaging, and other tools needed to accomplish the task.
  • Develop software applications to support the monitoring and problem management services of the Division; development projects will be assigned based on the needs of the Division.
  • Develop web applications and websites to support the monitoring and problem management services of the Division; development projects will be assigned based on the needs of the Division.
  • Coordinate and implement all programmatic changes and enhancements to Division applications, websites, and databases, as assignment by Division management.
  • Manage all Division software programs, web applications, and other programmatic tools.
  • Provide technical support for the development and maintenance efforts needed for the Knowledge Base, as requested by the Division programmer. These tasks can occur as frequently as weekly.
  • Other Tasks as assigned by Branch Chief, Task Manager or Manager.
  • The contractor shall submit a status report, monthly. The format shall be agreed upon with DNNSO management (e.g. division director and/or deputy director). This report is due on the tenth working day of each month. The report should include the following sections:
  • Major Projects, Completed Tasks for Major Projects, Routine Tasks including Reports, Additional Completed Tasks (not project related), Meetings Attended, and Issues and Concerns.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • The candidates supporting Application development shall have a minimum of three years' experience in full stack .Net Developer: ASP.NET, SQL Server, Oracle Server, HTML, HML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#/VB.net.
  • Experience analyzing, organizing data and creating reports.
  • Basic knowledge of SharePoint Server and SharePoint online using MS Visual Studio, Powershell and SharePoint framework.

Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
