Network Analyst

The Network Analyst supports the enterprise wide WAN (Wide Area Network) and LAN (Local Area Network) infrastructure. This position is responsible for the maintenance and day-to-day support of the enterprise network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures proper security processes are in place for authorized access to servers and applications.
• Interfaces with various vendors to identify and recommend hardware and software to facilitate service or system upgrades.
• Monitors network performance. Recommends, or proactively acts, to ensure performance meets requirements for continuity of service and system response time service levels.
• Provides technical skill in troubleshooting network problems and either takes corrective action, or interfaces with the appropriate vendor to resolve network problems.
• Engages with the Application and other Operations teams to ensure successful product or new application launches.
• Configures network servers in support of the resident application(s).
• Maintains LAN core switches in support of enterprise protocol requirements and traffic patterns.
• Install, configure and support network appliances as required in support of application and enterprise initiatives.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential, recognizing the importance of sensitive information and employing/recommending tools to secure data.
• Troubleshoots all systems and network-related issues in the LAN/WAN/DMZ/VPN environments
• Documents network and systems infrastructure topology and procedures
• Support annual Disaster Recovery (DR) testing and Business Continuity
• Update/maintain monthly Key Service Indicator (KSI) presentation and identify trends or issues for escalation
• Demonstrate commitment to Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and apply knowledge of compliance policies and procedures, standards and laws applicable to job responsibilities in the performance of work.

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience is required.
• Must have an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows server operating system including 2003/2008R2
• Microsoft (MCSE) or Linux Certification is desirable.
• Must have a working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards, including hardware RAID, Active Directory, DNS and TCP/IP.
• Experience with VMware or other virtualized environments
• Knowledge of networking concepts: LAN/WAN/VPN/DMZ, switching
• Knowledge of CITRIX software is desirable
• Knowledge of IBM Lotus Notes is desirable
• Knowledge of F5 VPN, F5 BIG-IP and Riverbed Application Accelerator devices is desirable.
• Knowledge of PRTG and Pathview monitoring tools is desirable.
• This position has the requirement to be on call and is based on a rotating support schedule.
