What we need:

This role is responsible for creating and implementing cutting-edge IT infrastructure and enhancing existing systems to ensure maximum performance. The position requires a solid grasp of wide area networks (WANs), local area networks (LANs), and other telecommunications concepts. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing innovative strategies to improve the overall efficiency and reliability of the IT infrastructure and developing new techniques. It requires a strong knowledge of WANs, LANs, and related telecommunications concepts.

What you'll do:

The position will maintain and support the enterprise's Legacy, Converged, and Hyper-converged platforms and associated components. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to,

  • Devise, plan, deploy, and improve wireless networks from the beginning to implementation by collaborating with vendors, managers, and network engineers.
  • Perform basic and advanced activities on both Cisco products. Activities include configuration, firmware upgrades, intelligent and traditional zoning, performance analysis, and hardware replacements.
  • Provide expert-level RF troubleshooting, addressing access point issues and hardware problems.
  • Review and recommend alternative technologies and improvements to enhance information systems' support of organizational goals and present them to senior management.
  • Review and develop automation on storage-related activities and mentor other team members to do so. Experience in developing scripts that would automate tasks.
  • Excellent team player and mentors other team members as required. Help other team members to succeed.
  • Make Ensure all equipment, including servers and the other network products, are well-connected.
  • Design and deploy changes to the configurations of clients as per the applicable change management process.
  • Use tools to evaluate, test, and tweak wired and wireless products, such as wireless lan controllers, routers, switches, hubs, bridges, virtual private networks (VPNs), and network amplifier
  • Travel and support facilities to install or improve the network landscape of the 24x7 infrastructure environment.

What you have:

  • A minimum bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, electrical, and related fields or professional work experience in a defined job is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant technical experience and 1-2 years of industry experience is preferred.
  • Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or equivalent
  • Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF and EIGRP
  • Experience AP configuration and Wi-Fi system setup.

What you're good at:

  • Ability to articulate complex technical designs and terms to business teams in simple terms.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize technical system solutions.
  • Experience planning and developing support processes and adhering to best practices.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • An understanding of Cisco routers, switches, voice, and wireless technologies.
  • An understanding of Structured Cabling, LAN/WAN, VLANS, STP or VoIP, TACACS, LDAP, DNS, SNMP, and QOS.
  • An understanding of Voice over IP (CUCM, CCME-SRST, SCCP, SIP, H323, MGCP, FXO/FXS).
  • Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and methodology of project, quality, and change management.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, from design to implementation.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members and coworkers in different departments who may not know networking technical terminology.
  • Ability to lift shift simple and heavy devices and perform cabling when needed.
