Responsibilities

WellStar's Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) and the WellStar Medical Group are pleased to announce an opening for an Adult Neuropsychologist in the Marietta/East Cobb, GA location as part of our expansion to meet increasing demand for our services. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Director of Psychology. The provider will work closely with WellStar neurologists, psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other specialty physicians to bolster access to important diagnostic services for adults with complex neurological and behavioral health conditions.

Skills Needed: Required skills include the ability to apply evidence-based practice and knowledge in clinical neuropsychology to a diverse adult population. Applicants should have a robust understanding of brain-behavioral relationships, possess a repertoire of neuropsychological testing techniques, and have the ability to integrate their knowledge and skills to meet the needs of patients and referring providers in a large and integrated health system.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education: (1) A doctorate degree (Ph.D./Psy.D.) in clinical or counseling psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), (2) completion of an APA-accredited internship in a hospital/medical setting, (3) completion of a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship with concentration in clinical neuropsychology; and (4) licensure or license-eligibility in the State of Georgia. Whereas active board-certification in Clinical Neuropsychology (ABPP-CN) is not required at the time of hire, the provider should take steps to obtain the certification within 24 months of the date of hire.
