ZS Controllership is expected to bring logic, expertise, discipline, and a controls mindset to our business stakeholders, both internally and externally. Internal stakeholders include senior leadership, client teams and other enterprise groups, and external stakeholders include our network of lenders, audit, and tax professionals.

Candidate must possess a strong accounting background, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to understand and add value to ZS's business. Ability to flex/multitask, critically evaluate processes and collaborate are additional prerequisites. Geographically, our team is located in Evanston and Pune, India.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee ZS's North America accounting function and collaborate globally to ensure adherence to global accounting policies
• Manage the preparation of ZS's US GAAP financial statements
• Ensure appropriate adherence to US GAAP within ZS's financial statements including assessing and documenting the impact of new standards
• Lead the financial statement audit process with third party auditor
• Review monthly management reports for use by internal stakeholders, which include departmental heads and senior business leaders
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to manage ZS's global income tax strategy and achieve help ZS's objectives
• Oversee the filing of North America income tax returns prepared by external tax advisors
• Collaborate with other finance leads throughout the acquisition process
• Lead evaluation of existing finance process to implement new processes and re-engineer the design of current processes and controls to increase efficiency and mitigate identified risks.
• Understand and anticipate business needs to design and implement new finance processes to support changes in the business
• Actively participate in the development of controllership team members, providing coaching, supervision, and mentorship. Assist in elevating the capabilities of direct reports and the controllership team as a whole.
• Lead and participate in other special projects as necessary

Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in Accounting, or related area, with strong academic credentials
• 7-10 years of relevant experience, either in a professional services firm or for-profit business

ZS is a global consulting firm. Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
