Job Summary

New Increased Rates!

Per Diem Requirements:

  • Work a minimum of 4 shifts per month (8 or 10 hour shifts) in Nuclear Medicine at Phoenixville Hospital & PET Scan at the Limerick Outpatient Center, according to department needs.
  • Take a minimum of 1 weekend of on-call per month (Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm)
  • Take a minimum of 2 holidays of on-call per year (Christmas, New Year's, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving).
  • Available for sick/vacation coverage as needed.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist:
  • integrates scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information.
  • Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy and physiology, chemistry, nuclear physics, mathematics and pharmacology.
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals to obtain diagnostic images and/or provides therapy as ordered by physician.
  • Ensures the delivery of quality care to pediatric through adult patients using professional and ethical judgment along with critical thinking in performing duties.
  • To maintain CNMTB/ARRT certification, Nuclear Medicine Technologists must complete appropriate continuing education requirements to sustain a level of expertise and awareness of changes and advances in practice.

Education Requirements
  • 2 year/Associate Degree
Experience
  • Relevant Experience
Certification and Licensure
  • BLS Certification
  • CNMT Certification
  • NMTCB certification or Certification and registration in Nuclear Medicine by the ARRT. Certification eligible Nuclear Medicine technologists hired upon graduation must be certified and registered (ARRT(N) and/or CNMT) within 6 months of their graduation date to remain employed.
