About the job:

The Nursing Assistant provides residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with established facility nursing care procedures as directed by clinical supervisors. The Nursing Assistant provides direct care and performs activities of daily living for our residents that they cannot do for themselves.

Essentials:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living;
• Promptly reports changes in a resident's condition to the nurse;
• Immediately reports any suspected abuse or neglect;
• Accurately utilizes electronic systems of documentation as required;
• Attends and completes educational trainings;
• Obtains at least twelve (12) hours of continuing education a year per state regulations.

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. • Be a Certified, Registered or a State Tested Nursing Assistant;
• Have the ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job without harm to self or others;
• Have the ability to prioritize duties;
• Have the ability to understand and follow work assignments;
• Be a Team-Player;
• Computer proficient;
• Undergo background screenings for employment purposes. This includes a criminal and drug screening.

Preferred qualifications:

• Have experience working in an assisted living or long-term care environment.
