What We're Looking For:
Barge Design Solutions is currently seeking to fill the position of Office Administrator in the Business Services group located in Nashville, Tennessee. A good candidate will be self-motivated, highly conscientious, and detail oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Acts as back-up for the local phone contact. Back-up includes answering incoming calls, providing general information, screening, and directing calls to appropriate associates, etc. when needed.
• Responsible for providing event planning and special project support by arranging portions of plans such as logistics, meeting room and audio/ visual set up, or pricing vendors for approval.
• Makes arrangements for events once approved and communicates plans to appropriate audience.
• Arranges and maintains a clean and organized office setting (including print and supply rooms, storage room, meeting areas, conference rooms, coffee bars, cafeteria, etc.)
• Proactively seeks out and provides additional administrative support to various business services groups such as pulling safety equipment for shipping and other special projects.
• Assists staff with time sheets and expense reimbursement requests.
• Assists with filing of various documents and paperwork as directed.
• Assists with business document maintenance and insurance certificates.
• Assists with some compliance and HR related tasks.
• Maybe assigned other tasks as needed.
• Assists Accounting staff with daily bank deposit and other tasks as needed.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• Two-year degree in business administration, business management, marketing, or communications, with 2 years of relevant office or business administration experience.
• Other relevant combination of education and/ or experience may also be considered.
• Some experience in accounting is preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other relevant web-based programs
• Attention to detail, punctuality, and organization.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision; exercise discretion, independent judgment, confidentiality diplomacy, and ask questions for clarity when needed.
