Job Overview:

Oliver Wyman is seeking an analyst to join its Americas Business Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) team with a focus on supporting their consulting businesses, while also creating compelling cross-functional analysis with regards to revenue, costs, and profitability. This role will support the production of management information, analyzing business performance, and coordinating with the other FP&A Analysts to model performance forecasts that align with each team's strategic priorities.

***This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days per week in our NYC office ***

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating, analyzing, and distributing periodic reports for the FP&A managers, team leaders, and other key stakeholders
  • Rigorously analyze business metrics to uncover meaningful insights that impact business decision making
  • Mitigate risks by ensuring data quality and accuracy of reports are tightly managed
  • Support the production of ad hoc financial analysis and models to support strategic goals
  • Work with multiple stakeholders and the FP&A team to help shape annual budget plans and forecasts around revenue, cost, and resource planning.

Experience Required:
  • BA or BS degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a consulting, financial, or highly analytical role

  • Superior analytical skills, attention to detail, and well organized
  • Strong initiative/seek and accept new challenges, have a high level of intellectual curiosity as it relates to new projects, and finding solutions to problems

  • Sharp communication skills with an ability to interact with, work with and advise multiple constituencies at all levels of the organization

Technical Skills:
  • Previous experience using data visualization software
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Must be comfortable working with and manipulating large amounts of data in excel using advanced formulas. Ability to learn Macros preferable.
  • Strong PowerPoint and communications skills to summarize and convey key findings for stakeholders

The applicable base salary range for this role is $75,000 to $100,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
