ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As an integral member of the Texas Utilities team, the candidate will be responsible for all of the following:

POSITION SUMMARY

Process Management

  • In collaboration with area managers, collects data from various internal sources to prepare and maintain analytical reports including but not limited to Monthly Operating Report's (MOR), Non-Revenue Water and Water Loss, that support decision making.
  • Works with managers and VP on budget analysis, collecting and summarizing data, researching overages and excessive charges to help better manage the budget and keep track of expenditures.
  • Maintains and/or processes large volume of recurring reports for VP, including activities reports, district split reports, system assignments, MOR consolidation, anniversary report, meeting minutes,
  • Maintains Water Loss Report, working with area managers to get pumped and flush/leaks reported; uses pivot tables to put together area percentages.
  • Maintains spreadsheet of company-issued cell phones for TWU, keeping track of various vendors, who has which line, invoice review and monitoring, and replacing these as necessary.
  • Corrects Purchase Orders as necessary, and creates Purchase Receipts as needed, will work with other team members as needed to make corrections to Goods Receipts as defined in SAP financial software.
  • Routinely reviews data and performs data analysis to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and errors to address them promptly.
Fleet Management
  • Provides guidance to the Fleet Administrator to ensure vehicles are registered and inspected on a regular basis, maintain and distribute vehicle registrations and insurance certificates.
  • Works with Fleet Administrator to manage fleet database of 200+ vehicles, equipment, and trailers to ensure data is timely and accurate
Other Duties
  • Receives monthly P-card statement and submits proper receipts and cost center codes.
  • Performs limited clerical duties that include maintaining office supply inventory and restocking as necessary, making sure order is received and notifying Accounts Payable.
  • Drafts written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Responds to regularly occurring requests for information.
  • Answers phone calls, taking messages or fielding/answering all routine and non-routine questions.
  • Maintains and updates filing system, retrieving information from files when needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning, and advanced MS Excel operations where appropriate, to solve a problem
  • Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
  • Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Communication, - Ability to communicate effectively with others in writing and using the spoken word.
  • Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.
  • Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: College degree in business administration or related field preferred but not required.

Experience: Five minimum years in an office environment, with working knowledge of standard business processes.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
