Primary Purpose:

Position will lead the planning and execution of the day-to-day warehouse operation activities by providing overall leadership and direction to warehouse staff consistent with Company goals, policies and key deliverables. This position will be responsible for identifying warehouse opportunities and the development and implementation of warehouse process and procedural enhancements that raise levels of productivity, consistency, and quality PDC output. This position will be accountable for ensuring proper contract interpretation, disciplinary action and all warehouse issues are administered fairly and consistently.

Key Accountabilities:

• Direct and monitor all physical warehouse activities. Responsibilities include directing Operation Supervisors and planning operational priorities to meet daily business requirements. Ensure daily shipping commitments are met. Ensure policy and procedure are followed which ensure PDC inventory accuracy.
  
• Serve as key point of contact for Union inquiry/review. Maintain positive relationship with Union leadership. Administer disciplinary action as required. Understand and adhere to guidelines set forth in the union contract
  
• Continually develop and implement procedures and process flow enhancements designed to improve efficiency and quality of PDC output. Assure new processes are documented and followed as required by our ISO registration.
  
• Maintain active involvement and understanding in all facets of WMS and WFM. Utilize output to assist in daily operational decisions.
  
• Ensure communication channels are maintained by conducting regular planning sessions with operations and WMS staff. Gather input from hourly personnel an provide timely communication of critical issues to Manager, Warehouse Operations.
  
• Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports. Ensure salary and hourly attendance records are maintained in accordance with the Attendance Policy.
  
• Emphasize work environment which promotes safety and focus on adherence stated work rules among hourly workforce. Ensure orderly and well-maintained condition is maintained in warehouse.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• B.S. Industrial/Manufacturing/Logistics Engineering or related discipline preferred.
  
• 5-7 years applicable job experience with degree or 7-10 years demonstrated applicable job experience preferred.
  

Other Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Warehouse/Distribution knowledge and experience with warehouse layout, design, and processes necessary to operate an efficient warehouse with strong systems aptitude. Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and LMS (Labor Management Systems) helpful.
  
• Background in implementation and coaching of Visual Factory Processes/Lean principles & methodologies
  
• Successful supervisory experience with exceptional leadership qualities and background in staff development and employee engagement.
  
• Meeting facilitation and project management experience with excellent analytical, technical, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  
• Strong PC skills in MS Office, Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
