Order Administrator

Our client, a manufacturing company in South Elgin is looking for an Order Administrator to assist their growing customer needs. The ideal candidate is able to use measuring instruments, have machine shop knowledge, and/or blueprint reading skills in order to work onsite with the team. The client provides in depth training for this role and is looking for someone eager to learn and is coachable.

Responsibilities

• Order Entry & Processing - Track and maintain orders throughout the manufacturing or repair process and provide feedback to customers
• Estimating and Quotations - Prepare quotations for customers and answer questions
• Manufacturing Process Planning - Route new parts using software tracking system and review existing parts
• Quality Documentation Preparation
• Customer Service and Relationship Management - Communicate with customers on all orders, quotes and other order related situations
• Interact on the production floor with Shop Managers and machinists to gain insight into machine cycle times, capabilities, and limits
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience within manufacturing environment from a machine or job shop type of role. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Interested in parts manufacturing

• MS Office suite experience and basic mathematics skills
• Previous experience within Customer Service ideal
• Able to use measuring instruments, machine shop knowledge, blueprint reading skills, and/or metal materials knowledge preferred
• Problem Solving Skills
• Communicate Clearly and Effectively
• Positive Attitude
