Location: This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

Pharmacy Benefits Specialists are Elevance Health Customer Care Representatives who work on a dedicated team supporting our ZipDrug product. You will be responsible for offering an added free benefit with Individual or Senior (Medicare BU), Commercial + Medicaid services telephonically and providing a high level of customer service while acting as a trusted advisor and educator on pharmacy-related inquiries.You will guide our customers to a better healthcare experience, working every day to make healthcare easy with the service you provide.

This position requires associates to handle a heavy outbound calling workflow while managing follow-up with our members. It is a fast-paced role in a production environment. Successful Pharmacy Benefits Specialists maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of all company services and study competitive services and related industry issues. Your personal awareness of the competitive advantages and disadvantages of our plan and others will give you the edge needed to succeed.

How you will make an impact:

  • From the moment you log in, you'll be focused on ensuring the successful enrollment of new members, offering the ZipDrug benefit through outbound calls in a professional and consultative manner.
  • You will provide thorough and effective customer service while educating the members on the services offered to them with both oral and written information.
  • In every call, you will optimize closing opportunities utilizing all sales tools and skills available.

  • You are expected to complete accurate documentation, maintain records, and update the database with documentation of all activities during the sales cycle.
  • You will partner internally to create a seamless experience for our customers and resolve potential issues, and troubleshooting issues with the activation team.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model and go onsite quarterly for meetings.
  • When working at home, you must have internet access and a quiet and private workspace.
*Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm ET

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma and 2-3 years of experience in customer service or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • 2+ years of outbound calling (scheduling, marketing, sales, collections, banking, real estate, finance, skip tracer, telemarketer, medical) is highly preferred.
  • A passion for serving others with the ability to be empathetic and the desire to go above and beyond to help resolve members' questions at the first point of contact is preferred.
  • A customer advocate willing to listen and find creative solutions to address and resolve customers' questions, issues, or concerns is preferred.
  • A composed individual able to multi-task, navigate multiple computer applications, and work efficiently while communicating and serving the customer is preferred.
  • A strong work ethic and sense of responsibility to your teammates and our members is highly preferred.

  • Flexible and quick learner, willing to adapt to changing customer and business needs is highly preferred.
