Better Future Farms, Inc. (BFF) is a rapidly growing greenhouse company in the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) industry. We specialize in growing high-quality, sustainable produce using cutting-edge technology and innovative farming techniques. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Pack Line Lead to join our team.

As the Pack Line Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate packing of our products. You will oversee the packaging line operations, manage a team of packers, and ensure that all packing processes and procedures are followed according to standard operating procedures and food safety regulations. The Pack Line Lead will collaborate closely with the production team, quality control team, and management to meet production targets and maintain product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee packaging line operations, ensuring smooth and efficient packing processes
  • Supervise and train packers, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and optimal productivity
  • Monitor and control product quality during the packing process
  • Perform routine checks and inspections to verify proper packaging and labeling
  • Maintain accurate records of packaging activities, including production quantities and any issues or discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, and participate in audits and inspections
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as production and quality control, to coordinate and prioritize packing activities

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a pack line or packaging supervisor role
  • Knowledge of packaging processes and equipment
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed
  • Familiarity with fresh produce and/or agricultural industry is a plus
