Exciting career opportunity to join MMA Private Client Services-National working as part of the new business development team. The Sales and Risk Consultant conducts a personal risk management assessment of the High Net Worth prospect's portfolio, identifies the solutions and placement strategy to address their needs and interacts with our company partners to obtain best in class product, pricing and service offerings to propose to a prospective client. Once a client is on boarded, they ensure a seamless transition to the Client Advisory team. This is a new business focused position within MMA.

What can you expect?

  • Leads are generated primarily from personal lines Business Development Executives (BDE's) and you will work closely with the BDE and the prospective clients in proposing value added insurance portfolio recommendations
  • The Sales and Risk Consultant (SRC) gathers current coverage information from prospective clients and evaluates and analyzes the information in order to map out a placement strategy
  • Prepares comprehensive risk evaluation to include product and service requirements
  • Delivers individual advice including advantages and disadvantages of the various options
  • Makes recommendations in the Personal Risk Management proposal that is delivered to the prospective client. Interfacing with prospective clients and lead sources is an integral part of this position

We will count on you to:
  • Negotiate with primarily multiple HNW insurance carriers (as well as non-HNW carriers) to provide comprehensive coverage options outlined in proposals, while conforming to laws, regulations and requirements governing the insurance industry.
  • You have the opportunity to generate your own referrals from prospects/clients.
  • Responsible for meeting new business development goals and forecasting.
  • Include practice specialists, as needed, throughout the business development process to best manage BDE's and Client Advisors (CA's) as appropriate to grow and expand referral sources.
  • Incorporates and regularly practices techniques introduced through Sales Training to continuously enhance skills and related performance.
  • Uses the Applied System to complete funnel and other internal information tracking reports as required.
  • Uses the Applied System in an accurate and timely manner to enter and maintain all account information.
  • Ensures that all regulatory requirements are met and complies with all internal policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and interprets carrier contract language to deliver optimal client coverage recommendations.
What you need to have:
  • Experience servicing High Net Worth (HNW) clientele with some or all of the carriers we represent (Chubb, AIG-PCG, PURE, Berkley One, VAULT)
  • Familiarity with the Applied/TAM system
  • At least four years of directly related personal lines HNW client service experience / business development.
  • Successful Sales and Risk Consultant experience with high net worth clients essential.
  • P&C license and personal lines insurance experience necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Some local travel required.
