Job Title: Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician

Position Overview:

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the medical practice delivery model in alignment with the mission and vision of our client. This position ensures the delivery of quality services to all patients.

Position Qualifications:

Education and Training:

• Must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
• Must hold a current state medical license.
• Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Residency training program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is required.
• Current certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is preferred.

Experience:

• Prior experience as Medical Director/leadership is preferred.
• Current practice in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Verbal ability to effectively express ideas and views when speaking to various stakeholders.
• Cognitive ability to gather, analyze data, and prepare reports.
• Numerical ability to evaluate statistical data and make computations for planning departmental operations and budget.

Responsibilities:

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician will:

• Provide professional medical services on a full-time basis to patients of assigned hospital(s).
• Collaborate with the Facility's leadership, staff, and other practitioners to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care policies and procedures.
• Identify, evaluate, and address/resolve medical and clinical concerns affecting patient care.
• Perform administrative services as reasonably required.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Evaluate, diagnose, consult, and manage patients with physical and/or cognitive impairment and disability.
• Admit patients to inpatient or other levels of care for treatment.
• Maintain competency in the specialty field.
