CHRISTUS St. Vincent is seeking a fulltime Trauma Acute Care Physician who will maintain an active general surgical and trauma practice. The physician will provide appropriate pre, intermediate and post-operative patient care including a complete medical history, physical examination, and diagnosis of the causes of injuries and illnesses to ensure appropriate treatment and/or referral as and when necessary.
The physician will also make informed diagnostic and therapeutic decisions based on patient information, current scientific evidence, and clinical judgment. Other daily duties include prescribing and performing competently all medical procedures considered essential for the scope of practice.
CHRISTUS St. Vincent is a not-for-profit integrated health system located in the beautiful mountain-west city of Santa Fe, New Mexico which sees over 300 sunny days per year, commute times under 15 minutes, and offers an abundance of outdoor activities as well as a thriving cultural, art, and music scene. Our 200 bed facility is a Level III trauma center, the only trauma center in Northern New Mexico, and serves a seven county area with over 300,000 residents.
